Full Tour Details

Day 1-2: Arusha & Arusha National Park

Arrival & Arusha National Park

Day 1: Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport and transfer to your lodge in Arusha. After settling in, you’ll have the rest of the day to relax or explore Arusha’s town. Day 2: We’ll start with a visit to Arusha National Park, a small but diverse park on the outskirts of Arusha. Arusha NP offers a range of landscapes – from savannah to rainforest and lakes. We’ll take a morning game drive, possibly including a walking safari or a canoe trip on Momella Lakes (depending on availability and interest). This is a great opportunity to see wildlife up close and learn about the park’s conservation efforts. In the afternoon, we’ll return to Arusha for dinner. Meals: D (Day 1), B/L/D (Day 2). Overnight: Arusha.

Day 3-4: Tarangire's Giants

Tarangire National Park

We’ll drive to Tarangire National Park, known for its huge elephant herds and iconic baobab trees. We’ll spend two full days exploring this vast park – Day 3 is a full day of game drives, and Day 4 we’ll extend our stay for another morning drive. This extended time allows for deeper exploration off the main tracks. We’ll search for elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, and the park’s abundant birdlife. The Tarangire River is a focal point, attracting hippos and crocodiles. We’ll have lunch in the bush and return to our lodge in the Tarangire area in the late afternoon. These two days are filled with incredible wildlife sightings and the chance to experience the tranquility of Tarangire. Meals: B/L/D. Overnight: Tarangire Area.

Day 5-7: The Endless Serengeti

Serengeti National Park

We’ll journey to the Serengeti for a three-night stay. This allows us to explore different regions of the Serengeti, from the central Seronera Valley to more remote areas in the south. We’ll have game drives each day, tracking wildlife and soaking in the immense landscapes. We might even take an optional hot air balloon safari on Day 6, which is a magical way to see the Serengeti from above at sunrise. The Serengeti offers endless opportunities for wildlife viewing – we’ll keep an eye out for the “Big Five” and other incredible creatures. Each day we’ll return to our lodge for dinner and rest. These three days are truly unforgettable as you immerse yourself in the vastness of the Serengeti. Meals: B/L/D. Overnight: Serengeti.

Day 8: Ngorongoro Crater

Ngorongoro Crater

We’ll begin with a morning game drive in the Serengeti, possibly in the Central Serengeti area. After breakfast, we’ll drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Along the way, we’ll stop to visit a traditional Maasai boma (village) to learn about their culture and way of life. You’ll have the opportunity to meet Maasai people, see their homes, and learn about their customs. It’s a fascinating cultural experience that complements the wildlife safari. After the village visit, we’ll continue to the Ngorongoro Crater rim and check into our lodge. In the afternoon, we’ll descend into the crater for a game drive. The crater is teeming with animals – we’ll likely see lions, elephants, rhinos, buffalo, and many others. We’ll have a picnic lunch by the hippo pool. As evening approaches, we’ll make our way back up the crater rim and drive to our lodge in Karatu. Meals: B/L/D. Overnight: Ngorongoro Crater Rim.

Day 9: Crater Floor & Lake Manyara

Ngorongoro Crater & Lake Manyara

We’ll enjoy a morning game drive on the crater floor, taking our time to observe the rich concentration of animals. The crater is home to the endangered black rhino, so we’ll be on the lookout for these elusive creatures. We’ll have a picnic lunch by the hippo pool. In the afternoon, we’ll drive to Lake Manyara National Park, located just a short distance from Arusha. Lake Manyara is famous for its tree-climbing lions and the stunning sight of pink flamingos on the lake’s shores. We’ll check into our lodge in Karatu or Mto wa Mbu and spend the evening relaxing. Meals: B/L/D. Overnight: Karatu/Mto wa Mbu.

Day 10: Return to Arusha & Departure

Final Day – Departure

We’ll have one last morning game drive in Lake Manyara, exploring its diverse habitats – from the soda lake to the forested slopes. We might see elephants, giraffes, and of course, the unique tree-climbing lions. After our game drive, we’ll head back to Arusha. We’ll have lunch in Arusha and then transfer you to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your departure.
