From the elephant herds of Tarangire to the rhino sanctuary of the Ngorongoro Crater and the predator-rich plains of the Serengeti, every day is a strategic move to tick another magnificent creature off your list. It’s a thrilling challenge for wildlife enthusiasts who want to see the best of Tanzania’s wildlife in a short time.

Full Tour Details

Day 1: Arrival & Transfer to Tarangire Area

Arrival & Early Safari Start

Welcome to Tanzania! You will be met at Kilimanjaro International Airport and transferred to your lodge in the Tarangire area. We’ll leave early to get a head start on the safari. This early arrival allows us to hit the ground running. We’ll have a light lunch in the vehicle. As we drive towards Tarangire, we’ll keep an eye out for any wildlife. We’ll check into our lodge near the park in the afternoon. The rest of the day is yours to relax. Meals: Dinner. Overnight: Tarangire Area.

Day 2: Tarangire & Drive to Serengeti

Tarangire Game Drive & Serengeti

Morning game drive in Tarangire National Park. This is your best place to tick off Elephants – Tarangire is known for its large elephant herds. We’ll also have good chances for Buffalo and Lions in Tarangire. After our morning drive, we’ll return to camp for lunch. In the afternoon, we’ll drive to the Central Serengeti, continuing our quest for the Big Five. We’ll have a game drive en route, so we might spot more wildlife. As evening falls, we’ll check into our lodge in the Central Serengeti. Meals: B/L/D. Overnight: Central Serengeti.

Day 3: Serengeti's Predators

Serengeti Game Drive for Predators

Full day in the Central Serengeti (Seronera Valley). This is prime territory for big cats. Our guide will focus on tracking Lions and the elusive Leopard. We’ll also keep an eye out for Buffalo herds, which are common in the Serengeti. We’ll spend the entire day searching for these iconic animals. We’ll have a packed lunch in the bush. As evening approaches, we’ll return to camp. Meals: B/L/D. Overnight: Central Serengeti.

Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater – The Rhino's Haven

Ngorongoro Crater Game Drive

Morning game drive in the Serengeti, focusing on any remaining Big Five we might have missed. After breakfast, we’ll drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. We’ll stop at the Ngorongoro Crater rim for some spectacular views of the caldera. Then, we’ll descend into the crater for an afternoon game drive. This is your single best opportunity in Tanzania to spot the critically endangered black Rhino, which finds sanctuary in the crater. We’ll also keep an eye out for the other members of the Big Five – lions, elephants, leopards, and buffalo. All of these are resident in the crater. We’ll have a picnic lunch by the hippo pool. As evening approaches, we’ll make our way back up the crater rim and drive to our lodge in Karatu. Meals: B/L/D. Overnight: Karatu.

Day 5: Final Game Drive & Departure

Final Safari Day & Departure

Depending on your flight schedule, you may have time for a short morning activity before we drive back to Arusha. This could be a visit to a local market or a cultural site. We’ll have lunch in Arusha. Then, we’ll transfer you to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your departure. We’ll be crossing our fingers that by the end of this safari, you’ve had the satisfaction of seeing all of the Big Five – lions, leopards, rhinos, elephants, and buffalo! Meals: B/L.
